Living next to a river means the neighbours are constantly changing. Yesterday we had some new vistors – a family of swans. Mute swans are pretty common birds in the UK. You find them in parks, on canals, in cities, all over the place. Yet when a family of wild swans stops by and finds something agreeable about our patch of river means a lot. Although the mallards are rather put out.
